How To Recover A Signal Fragment In 3 Easy Ways

Three Paths Into The Same Pool

Yesterday we laid out what the 576 fragments are and where they live. Today we walk through the part that actually pays you: how to find one.

There are three concrete paths to a Signal Fragment. They do not require the same things from you, and they do not all pull from the same surface. But every successful recovery — whether you found it in a Texas state activation, solved a puzzle on the blog, or won a community bounty — settles the same way: verified on-chain, paid out of the same Signal Fragment pool, in $WADZ, to the wallet that completed the recovery.

Here are the three paths.

Path One — Show Up At A Node

This is the path the tour was built for.

When Wadoozie activates a state, the seven hidden fragments for that state go live. Up until that moment, they are dormant in the field — placed, but not findable. Once the node activates, the hunt begins, and the map flips from dormant to active for that state.

How The Clues Surface

Three places, mostly in parallel.

The livestream is the highest-bandwidth clue channel during an active state. Wadoozie is on the ground. He is filming. He is dropping hints — sometimes obviously, sometimes embedded in what looks like normal coverage, sometimes neither until you rewatch the clip three times. People who recover physical fragments tend to be people who pay attention to streams, not people who pay attention to one clip.

The node page for the active state aggregates everything in one place — the public clues that have been released, the fragments confirmed recovered, the ones still in the field. If you do not have time to follow the stream live, the node page is where you catch up.

The social channels covering the activation — the official accounts, plus the Publishers Network amplifying everything — surface clues in remix form. Sometimes a publisher's clip is what makes a clue legible. The signal travels through the people moving it.

What Recovery Actually Looks Like

You follow the trail. You go to the location. You find the object. You complete the recovery protocol — every fragment carries a verifiable token, mission code, or signed recovery method that ties the find back to a wallet. You submit, the recovery is verified against the on-chain registry, and the fragment pays out from the SIGNAL_FRAGMENTS multi-sig directly to your wallet.

The full recovery protocol — verification method per tier, dispute window, claim flow — will be published in the operations playbook before the first state activation. The protocol is the same for every state. The only thing that changes from state to state is the geography of the hunt itself.

What It Takes To Win Here

Being there matters. Being attentive matters more. The people most likely to recover physical fragments are the ones who treat the activation like a real event — show up early, watch every minute of the stream, read every clue carefully, and move fast when the trail surfaces. Physical fragments tend to get recovered within the first 24-72 hours of a state going live. The window is real, but it closes faster than you might think.

Path Two — Participate Online

The 240-fragment online pool is the path that does not depend on geography. If you are not within driving distance of an active state, this is your primary recovery surface — and it runs in parallel with the physical hunt from day one.

Daily Blog Puzzles

Most of the online pool releases through daily blog posts on wadoozie.com. Each puzzle post hides a fragment inside it — sometimes via a tiered puzzle, sometimes via a QR encoding, sometimes via steganographic methods embedded in the post itself. Each one resolves to a three-word secret.

When you solve a puzzle, you submit the three words in the official Discord #fragment-claims channel. Verified recoveries are paid out from the SIGNAL_FRAGMENTS multi-sig.

Higher-Tier Puzzles Are Gated

Tier 3 and Tier 4 online fragments — the Rare and Legendary jackpots — are gated by a wallet snapshot plus Discord membership age check. This is on purpose. The gating exists to keep someone from screenshotting a solved puzzle in #fragment-claims and racing to claim a Tier 4 they did not earn. Snapshot eligibility filters that out at the protocol level.

What this means in practice: showing up early matters. If you are in the community before the puzzles get serious, you qualify for the prizes that matter. If you arrive the week of a Tier 4 release, you can still claim Tier 1 and Tier 2, but the highest tiers will not open for you yet.

The Full Mechanic

The complete online fragment spec — wordlist construction, tier-by-tier puzzle methodology, claim flow, spoiler-protection model, and the commit-reveal audit trail — will be documented in the Wadoozie Online Fragment Spec, published alongside the first daily puzzle post.

For today: 240 fragments in the online pool. 12 of them Legendary. All recoverable from anywhere in the world.

Path Three — Community Events And Bounties

The third path is the most situational, and often the most rewarding.

Some fragments are released through community-driven events and bounties tied to active nodes, milestones, or specific moments along the route. Examples of what this can look like:

  • A bounty triggered when a specific state activation reaches a content milestone.

  • A puzzle drop timed to a flagship climax.

  • A community challenge tied to a leaderboard threshold.

  • An ambient drop in a livestream that only the people present can act on.

These fragments reward presence in the community rather than raw geography. The people who recover them tend to be the people who are already in Discord, already following the stream, already publishing. They are not the easiest fragments to plan around, but they are the most rewarding for the people who actually live in the community day to day.

How Recoveries Get Verified

Every recovery — across all three paths — goes through the same verification frame.

On-Chain Settlement

Recoveries settle on Ethereum, directly to the recovering wallet, from the SIGNAL_FRAGMENTS multi-sig. The fragment registry is on-chain. The payouts are on-chain. There is no "claim points and convert later" system — you find a fragment, you get $WADZ in your wallet.

The Recovery Protocol

Each tier carries its own verification method appropriate to its rarity.

  • Tier 1 (Common): lightweight verification, fast payout.

  • Tier 2 (Uncommon): standard verification, including basic spoiler-protection.

  • Tier 3 (Rare): gated verification with snapshot eligibility.

  • Tier 4 (Legendary): highest-tier verification with full commit-reveal protections.

The full protocol per tier is published in the operations playbook before the first state activation.

Dispute Windows

Every recovery has a dispute window during which the on-chain registry can be challenged. If a recovery is contested — a duplicate claim, a spoofed find, a protocol violation — the dispute resolves through a documented process before final payout. The window protects against bad-faith recoveries without slowing down legitimate ones.

What Happens To Unclaimed Fragments

Not every fragment will be recovered inside its window. We have planned for that.

If a state's hidden fragments are not all recovered before the recovery window closes, the unclaimed tokens can be burned, reallocated, or rolled into the online pool. The default-leaning option is burn — which permanently removes those tokens from supply and creates additional scarcity for everyone else.

There is no version of this where unclaimed fragment value leaks out of the system. It either gets recovered, rolled forward to the online pool where more people can chase it, or burned outright.

Pick Your Path

You do not have to pick just one. The three paths run in parallel for the entire 48-state tour, and beyond into Europe.

If you are local to a state on the route, Path One is the highest-leverage path you have — same Legendary as every other state, fewer people competing in blow-through states, real ground-level recovery.

If you are not local, Path Two is fully open and fully funded. Twelve Legendaries in the online pool. Daily puzzles. No geography required.

If you live in the community, Path Three finds you naturally. The bounties drop where the active people are.

Catch Up

If you missed the post prior to this one, you can find it here. Full fragment details on the Signal Fragments page. Follow @wadoozie. The first node activates in Austin on May 27th.
